The word ‘Pharmacy’ means the science and technique of preparing and dispensing drugs. It is a health profession that links health sciences with chemical sciences and aims to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. An Associate degree in Pharmacy prepares students with foundational skills involved in pharmacy, pharmacology, toxicology, basic chemistry and biology. The programs are designed in such a way that a student is ready for entry-level employment opportunities or further studies in the field i.e. Bachelors and Masters. Associate degree programs are cheaper compared to regular 4-year programs and take less time to finish the undergraduate study. After completion of this study, students can work in a local pharmacy or become a pharmacy technician, an assistant to the head pharmacist.
An Online Associate Degree in Pharmacy typically maintains the same curriculum as the classroom degree programs, which leads to similar opportunities as regular graduates. The program provides a variety of subjects which include anatomy, physiology, pharmacy law and applied ethics. Online Programs in Pharmacy offer affordable and flexible degrees to students who are already occupied with other obligations. It usually takes around 24 months to finish the coursework but students have an option to take it further as it can be done on part-time or full-time basis.
