An Associate Degree in Veterinary is designed to prepare a veterinary technician to fulfill the duties of that similar to an assistant. It is a two-year undergraduate degree which is worth 60 credits and can help the students to enter the profession of a Veterinary Technician or enrol in the four-year undergraduate course for further studies. Transfer of credits is possible in this course however it depends on the institution as the eligibility criteria differ. Students can enrol in the third year directly for the four-year undergraduate degree.

Clinical Pathology - It deals with the understanding of the clinical laboratory and understanding the diagnostic procedures. It also includes the study of micro-organisms.
Anesthesia for Veterinary Technicians- It is used to teach the students about the surgical process and relief for the patients by giving the dosage of anesthesia and administering it.
Surgical Nursing- It gives the training to identify the tools and techniques needed during assisting in a surgery and have an understanding of surgical equipment.
Information Literacy- It is used to teach students about finding information effectively and learn how to use resources for getting information.
Veterinary Technology- This gives an insight into animal behavior, the handling and restraint during a surgery, getting to know the medical history by a quality check etc.
Computer Applications- This helps in building computer skills in a student through various measures and applying it at work.
Biology- This gives an introduction to the structure of animals and how the living process works. It provides the relationship between the living beings.
Radiography- It is used for diagnosis of an injury by using X-ray radiations. It specializes in how the radiations can be useful or harmful.
