Animal Science is the study of the breeding of animals, behaviour and management of animals under the control of human beings. The main objective of this course is to provide practical as well as theoretical knowledge about the management of animals and its behaviour.
An Accredited Animal Science creates a pathway for the students to enrol in Animal Science programs offered by the Colleges/Universities which are funded by the federal government or the state government.

The subjects that are taught to Animal Science students are Animal nutrition, Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Veterinary Parasitology and Cattle Management and many more.
Associate’s degree in Animal Science requires 60-70 college credits and takes 2 years to complete.
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science requires 100-120 college credits and requires 4 years to complete.
Master’s degree in Animal Science requires 40-50 college credits and it requires around 2 years to complete.
There are few requirements which need to be fulfilled before one applies for an admission in the Animal Science program. The candidate should have a high school diploma with a minimum of 2.0-3.0 GPA or more.
With a degree in Animal Science, a student will have a deeper knowledge about the breeding of animals, management, and behaviour of animals. The students also gain a detailed knowledge about the health conditions of various animals.
