Data science is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms, and systems to extract knowledge and insights from data in various forms, structured and unstructured, similar to data mining. It allows the students to learn techniques and theories drawn from many fields like mathematics, statistics, information science, and computer science.
An Accredited College/University creates a pathway for the students to enrol in data science programs offered by the Colleges/University which are funded by the federal government or the state government.
The Organizations that accredited a college for marketing programs are listed below:
Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET
Data Science Council of America (DASCA)
Data science course includes acquiring data through web-scraping and data APIs, cleaning and reshaping untidy datasets using techniques like regular expressions or dedicated tools like open refine, rating & ranking, data analysis, visualization, classifications & clustering, network analysis, regression, statistical conclusion, natural language processing, This course teaches the students how to manage the data, analyze and reshape the data.
An Associate’s degree requires 60-70 credits and takes 2 years to be completed.
A Bachelor’s degree requires 110-120 credits and takes 4 years to be completed.
