A Doctorate degree is a 3 to 6 years course. It is one of the highest degrees an individual can earn. The degree basically confines into research-based learning.
A Doctorate's degree requires a minimum of 48 credit points, where a minimum of 24 graduate-level course credits and a minimum of 24 doctoral thesis credits. The degree requires not more than 72 credit points to complete.
To apply for a Doctorate degree, you should have a minimum Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of 16 years of Education is compulsory to opt for the program in the same field of studies as the student’s bachelor’s course. Though there are some Doctorate programs which also require a Master’s degree to be pursued by the applicant.
After the completion of a doctorate’s degree, one can opt for a job in various research programs in the same field.
A student can apply for a doctorate's degree after completing his/her master's degree or bachelor's degree in the same field. The student should fulfill the requirements given by the universities for the doctorate program.
