Forensic Science is that branch of science that applies scientific knowledge and methodology to various criminal investigations and crime scenes.

An Associate degree in Forensic Science is a two-year degree program that provides coursework in the field of criminal justice and investigative science. Some of the subjects taught in this program are Criminal studies, Applied ethics, General Chemistry, Law and many more. An average of 60 credits is required for this course.
A Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science is a four-year undergraduate degree program in which students get introduced to crime labs and research institutes. Some of the subjects taught in this program are Biotechnology, Chemistry, Geology, Psychology etc. An average of 126 credits is required for this course.
A Master’s degree in Forensic Science is a two-year professional degree program in which students get an opportunity to assist in field operations and gain practical experience. An average of 40 credits is required for the course.
There are few requirements which need to be fulfilled before one applies for an admission in the forensic science program. The student should have a high school diploma with a minimum of 2.0-3.0 GPA.
