Marketing is the program that deals with the processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners and society at large. Marketing courses focus on consumer behaviour, marketing research and business fundamentals to develop a basic understanding of how to interact with consumers and communicate value.
An Accredited College/University creates a pathway for the students to enrol in marketing programs offered by the Colleges/University which are funded by the federal government or the state government.
The Organizations that accredited a college for marketing programs are listed below:
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs(ACBSP)
The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC)
The marketing program includes marketing research, marketing management, marketing strategy, and sales. Some marketing degree programs offer concentrations that allow students to specialize in a certain subset of the field such as social media or digital marketing concentration. While internships are not usually required for online marketing degrees, some programs offer them as elective courses.
An Associate’s degree in marketing requires 60-70 credit points to be completed. The program is typically a two-year program but online courses are flexible according to the student’s convenience.
A Bachelor’s degree in marketing requires 120 to 124 credits in order to earn an online bachelor’s degree in marketing. The course takes 4 years to be completed.
A Master’s degree in marketing requires 30-45 credits and 1-3 years to be completed.
A Doctorate’s degree requires 60-70 credits and 5-7 years to be completed.
There are few requirements which need to be fulfilled before one applies for an admission in the Marketing program. The minimum of 2.0 GPA is required to apply for an admission in the marketing degree online.
A marketing focus can prepare students for a range of marketing careers in product development, product and services promotions, pricing and consumer research.
