Nutrition program teaches a student about food and the nutrition it provides. The program teaches the students to choose the right things to eat, help them plan menus, and advise them on the health effects of certain foods.
An Accredited Nursing School creates a pathway for the students to enroll in nutrition programs offered by the Colleges/Universities which are funded by the federal government or the state government.

The subjects which are taught to the Nutrition program students are both theoretical and practical. Some of the subjects which are taught are Intermediary Metabolism of Macronutrients, Introduction to Nutritional Epidemiology, Minerals, Obesity and Diabetes, Experimental Diet Design, and Vitamins.
An Associate’s degree in Nutrition program requires 50 to 60 credit points needs to be completed.
A Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition program requires almost 120 credit hours of study which normally takes four years to complete.
A Master’s degree in Nutrition Program requires 25 to 35 credit points to complete, which usually takes two years to complete.
A Doctorate’s degree in Nutrition program requires 65 to 80 hours of coursework, which normally takes four to five years to complete.
There are few requirements which need to be fulfilled before one applies for an admission in the nutrition program. The student should have a high school diploma with a minimum of 2.0- 3.0 GPA.
In addition to strong knowledge of metabolism, food service, and other nutrition-related subjects, the Nutrition program aims to help students learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
