Reading is the field of study that is concerned with enhancing the reading skills of the students. This course provides students with the proper knowledge and language training to help the students to improve their reading skills. The program usually emphasizes basic word attack skills, vocabulary, transitional words, paragraph organization, basic comprehension skills, and learning strategies.
An Accredited College/University creates a pathway for the students to enrol in reading programs offered by the Colleges/University which are funded by the federal government or the state government.

Council of Accreditation for Educator Preparation(CAEP)
The reading program includes topics that are designed to help the students to enhance their reading skills. This course includes various tools and techniques to help the students to increase the efficiency of reading. Few of the things that are taught to enhance the reading efficiency are reading endorsements, education in reading and literacy, reading language and literacy.
A Bachelor’s degree requires 120-130 credits and takes 4 years to be completed. This program provides the fundamentals of the reading programs.
A Master’s degree requires 30-50 credits and takes 2 years to be completed. This program helps the students to gain valuable skills and develop specializations to advance in their careers.
A Doctorate’s degree requires 40-65 credits and takes 4-5 years to be completed. This program provides a deeper knowledge in the field of reading.
The minimum GPA required to apply for admission in the reading program falls between 2.0-3.00.
