An undergraduate certificate provides you with a foundation in a specific subject chosen by you. It comprises of 18 credits and the credits can be transferred for a college degree, depending on the institution.
The course can be pursued by being enrolled in an undergraduate degree already or can be pursued directly if a student wants to pursue a short length program. It provides technical as well as vocational training for the students in a short duration of time. The program length is usually for 1 or 2 semesters long.
The program requires you to finish the courses, both core, and electives. You can enroll in the course after completing high school graduation or earning an equivalent degree.
The course prepares you for entry-level jobs in the market and develops skills for the same. It is different from traditional education. A lot of companies look for employees having an undergraduate certificate if they have the required skills along with it.
