It was in 1891 when the Central Washington University was founded. The motto of the Central Washington University is Docendo Discimus and its official colors are crimson, black and sable. In addition to over 11,111 undergraduate students, CWU also boasts of over 547 students in its postgraduate courses, taking the total enrollment to over 12,342 (Fall 2018).
