As mentioned in the earlier section, CSN is an open-access institution and any adult can apply for admission and enroll in classes.

-
An Application for Admissions, which includes a $20 non-refundable fee.
-
An official final high school or high school equivalency transcript (also known as the GED). Home School students must present an official final high school transcript with graduation date and a listing of specific courses completed from a recognized home school agency. If no such document is available, the parent of the home-schooled student may present an official final transcript with the date of graduation, a listing of specific courses completed with a notarized sworn affidavit stating that the student’s record is accurate and complete.
-
Any other Official transcripts the applicants may deem fit for presenting his/her candidature.

High school students who are 16 years old, and are juniors or seniors, may be admitted and may enroll at CSN, subject to the approval of appropriate high school and college officials.

Non-Degree-Seeking Students are students that are not seeking a degree but are interested in taking classes for personal enrichment or career skill enhancement. Students under this category will not be eligible for financial aid, or veteran benefits.
-
The Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) mandates that CSN must randomly select 10% of all newly admitted students to verify high school or GED/HiSET completion every semester.
-
Admission to CSN implies general admission only and does not constitute admission to programs designated as the limited entry. Acceptance to limited-entry programs will be contingent upon the fulfillment of conditions specified by the requirements of each program.
