In general, the minimum requirements for admission at East Central University are that the university requires High School Transcripts whereas the SAT/ACT test scores are neither required nor recommended and the university also requires High School GPA. Undergraduate Admission Requirements
Candidates applying to the undergraduate program have to meet the minimum requirement to increase their chances of admission. The undergraduate admission requirement is as follows:
The student must meet one of the following:

Score a 20 on the ACT or 1030 on the SAT

Rank in the top 50% of graduating class with a 2.7 GPA

Have a 2.7 GPA in 15 units of core curricular courses
Curricular Requirements for an undergraduate are:

4 years of English (Grammar, Composition, Literature)

3 years of Mathematics

3 years of Lab Science

The student will also be checked for completion of the following six core curricular courses:

3 years History and Citizenship

2 additional units from subject areas listed above, or selected from Computer Science or Foreign Language.
Graduate Admission Requirements
Students seeking admission for a graduate program or a master’s degree. Students need to meet the minimum requirements which are:

Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

Meet one of the following conditions:

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on all undergraduate coursework to date or Have a minimum GPA of 2.75 in the last sixty (60) hours of coursework or,

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on at least nine (9) hours of graduate coursework or
-
Hold one of the following:

A Standard Teaching Certificate

An Alternative Education acceptance letter (which must be on file)

Written affirmation that the candidate understands the master’s degree alone may not, and in many instances will not, lead to state certification until additional state certification requirements have been met. Only specific programs are eligible for this option.

Have submitted acceptable program application documents (references, resume, essay questions, etc.)

For Graduate International Student
Holds a U.S. equivalent bachelor’s degree or higher.
For Transfer International Student
A minimum U.S. equivalent GPA of 2.0 based on at least 24 attempted credit hours.

SAT/ACT Scores: Students securing minimum US equivalent GPA requirement did not have to submit the SAT/ACT scores whereas if the minimum US equivalent requirement is not meet than the students need to submit the equivalent SAT/ACT scores.

Submit a copy of passport (or proof of another immigration status if in the U.S.).

Submit the I-20 Data Form.

Submit the Statement of Understanding Form: The Statement of Understanding is a contract between the student and the University. By signing this, the student is agreeing to comply with the items stipulated in the Statement of Understanding.

Submit the Confirmation of Financial Resources: This is a contract between the University and the student’s sponsor with verification from the sponsor’s banking official. Once signed, it states that the sponsor agrees to pay all of the student’s costs related to and throughout the duration of the student’s enrollment at ECU

Submit Official original Bank Letter documenting guaranteed funds: Before ECU can prepare an I-20 for you, we must receive documentation of guaranteed funds showing that the student (or their sponsor) has sufficient funds to cover tuition, fees, room, and board0. The letter must be written in English using local currency and its equivalent U.S. dollars

Submit a copy of the Immunization Record.

Submit a copy of SEVIS Information Form: Students holding an F-1 visa who are transferring from another U.S. college or university, language, or high school must have the SEVIS Information Form completed by their current international advisor.

Housing Application Form: If you are a beginning freshman, under the age of 21, you are required to stay in the campus residence hall.
