The university takes a holistic approach when it comes to reviewing the applications of the applicants. Focus on the overall academic achievement is give which depicts the leadership qualities and other qualities of the highest ethical values.
Several High School requirements are to be kept in mind by the applicants as mentioned below:
- Completion of at least four units of English
- Completion of at least three units of college-preparatory mathematics
- Completion of at least two units of foreign language
- Completion of at least two units of social science
- Completion of at least two units in the natural sciences
It is advised by the university that applicants should take the most rigorous academic program in their schools. This includes opting at least five academic courses each year and AP, IB, and honors courses whenever possible.
- The applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 in their high school, or
- The applicants should have a rank within the top 10 percent in their class
- The submission of SAT scores and ACT scores are optional
Those applicants who choose not to submit the standardized test score are advised to submit a recommendation from a teacher in a core subject area of theirs.
The applicants who are home-schooled or those who studied outside the U.S. must submit the standardized test scores.
Home-schooled applicants, students attending schools outside the United States, and students wishing to be considered for merit-based scholarships must submit standardized test scores.
The university uses the most favorable scores among SAT and ACT which submitted by the applicants.
