Medical College of Wisconsin(MCW) Admissions

Medical College of Wisconsin admissions process is reviewed on a rolling basis by the admission committee. The primary application required for admission is the American Medical College Application Service(AMCAS). Students can choose from a variety of programs listed on AMCAS.

Program types offered include Regular MD, Early Decision, Combined MD/Ph.D. or Medical Scientist Training Program(MSTP), Combined MD/MS or MD/MS in Clinical or Translational Science. 

Steps to apply to the Medical College of Wisconsin

  • Apply for AMCAS
  • After the AMCAS has been received and verified, eligible students will receive a secondary application form. The Secondary Application will help students to choose from their desired campuses. 
  • Some students may also need to submit some required forms for admission.
  • A Dean’s Certification form is required if some institutional action has been taken against the student or the student had been previously enrolled in a medical college.  
  • Wisconsin Residency form is required if students are from Wisconsin to verify them for tuition purposes. 
  • Other forms that may be required include Technical Standards form, Credit Report, and Certification of Finances.

  • A minimum of 90 Undergraduate Credits at a regionally accredited college or university.

  • MCAT(Medical College Admission Test), MCAT scores will be valid for a period of 3 years.

  • Official Transcripts from every post-secondary institution attended should be submitted to the Office of Admission. Transcripts must come directly from institutions.

  • Course Prerequisites include Biology(1 semester), Chemistry(1 semester), Physics(2 semester), Math(1 semester), English(1 semester), Social Sciences(1 semester).
