When it comes to admissions in the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the stakes are pretty high. This course is mainly designed for undergraduate students or freshmen. To apply for Freshmen Admission Process you need to do the following:
Submit a complete application on the official admission website of NJIT.
Pay the Application Fee of $75 (or a College Board Waiver).
Must submit a High School Transcript.
One must comply with satisfactory SAT (use code 2513) or ACT (use code 2580)scorecards.
A letter of Recommendation is necessary for the application process.
A portfolio is only required for applicants who wish to attend the College of Architecture and Design.
NJIT offers course transfer program admissions as well. There is no upper limit for the number of courses one can apply for but they must have 33 upper-division credits approved by the department of one’s major subject. For the transfer, program one needs to fulfill the following criteria:
Complete at least a 15 hour semester including English Composition, Mathematics, and Science.
Pay for the Application fee and submit all the official transcripts of all the attended schools.

As for the ACT scores, an average score of 27 is needed to get accepted to New Jersey Institute of Technology. Notably, the composite ACT scores of most applicants who get accepted by New Jersey Institute of Technology are generally within the 24-31 range. The minimum ACT composite score that is required in order to be considered for admission by NJIT currently stands at 24. Moreover, the submission of ACT scores is mandatory to be considered for admission. The University demands very high academic records. It has very high requirements for admission test scores, generally admitting students who score in the top 24 percent. The following are the general requirements for getting into NJIT.
The application form must be filled at the official portal of CommonApp and the application fee for $75 must be paid beforehand. Note: The fee waiver is accepted if the student has appeared for the first time in the SAT /ACT examination.
The SAT/ACT and average GPA must be as per the minimum aggregate requirement by the University.
Official High school transcripts must be submitted by the students.
Proof of participation in any pre-college courses should be mentioned while submitting documents for verification.
For postgraduate courses, one must submit proof of graduation.
AP and Dual credits are accepted as well.
NJIT encourages all its applicants to appear for the aforesaid tests and meet the satisfactory results, 6 months prior to the deadline.
