Application Process
Applicants can apply through an online application, the common application, or printable application for enrolment into any of their degree or certificate programs. The steps to be followed are:

Submit the completed application, if applying through the online or common application, an account must be created to complete the application.

Applicants must submit all official transcripts, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, and other similar materials along with the application fee.

Applicants will be notified with the institute's decision of admittance or refusal after some time from the application deadline.
Undergraduate program
Candidates for admission to the undergraduate freshman class should have a minimum of 16 academic units including four years of English, three to four years of history/social science, three to four years of college preparatory mathematics, two years of lab science, two years of a foreign language, and two to three academic electives. Prior to enrolling, students must complete the high school program or GED and graduate. The University offers more than 100 undergraduate programs.

Official Transcripts: First-year students with fewer than 32 completed college credits must submit an official high school transcript (with first-semester senior grades, if available) or GED diploma.

SAT or ACT Scores (Optional): Pace University does not require the SAT or ACT for most applicants. However, applicants are requested to click on the link, to learn more about their Test-Optional Policy for guidelines and exceptions.

Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation (PDF) from a teacher or counselor who knows the applicant well and can attest to their academic potential and personal characteristics. Letter for Recommendation forms can be found on the institute's forms and brochures webpage.

Written essay/personal statement: One essay/personal statement, approximately 250-650 words in length, which will assist the Admission Committee in reviewing the candidate’s application. The essay/personal statement he/she submits must consist solely of their own original work. Applicants may write on a subject of their choice or choose one of the subjects, outlined by referring to their admissions web page.

Optional Scholarship Consideration: Applicants for the Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Community Service Scholarship need to submit an essay or list of activities discussing/listing participation and leadership roles in a community service activity.
Graduate program
Applicants to PU graduate degree and certificate programs must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university if postsecondary education was completed in the United States. Applicants who are currently in their senior year at an undergraduate institution may apply for admission, but acceptance will be contingent upon receipt of a final transcript indicating all senior year grades and receipt of the bachelor's degree. Applicants who have attended institutions outside of the U.S. must hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

If applicants complete the online application, they will have to pay the fee online with a credit card. If the applicant is sending a print application, then the applicant must enclose a check or money order made payable to Pace University.
- Two Letters of Recommendation
The letters should be from academic or professional references that can knowledgeably comment on the applicant’s ability to successfully complete graduate study.
Applicants must note that three letters of recommendation are required for the PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology, the PhD in Mental Health Counseling, the MSEd in School Psychology, and the MSEd in Bilingual School Psychology.
Applicants to the MS in Human Resource Management program who are requesting a waiver of the GMAT/GRE based on work experience are required to submit one letter of recommendation from their employer verifying the dates of employment and the work performed.
A resume or outline describing at least the past five years of the applicant’s employment history and any significant community, professional, or college extracurricular activities.
Applicants can also include recognitions and achievements if any. (e.g. licenses, publications, and awards).
A personal statement explaining to the Graduate Admission Committee why the applicant would like to pursue the program of graduate study he/she has chosen. Additional information regarding their academic performance, as well as professional experience, may also be included in the supplement.

Transcripts from every accredited college or university attended (not just the degree granting institution) must be sent either to Pace University, directly from the academic institution electronically or by mail, or forwarded by the applicant in sealed envelopes from the academic institution.

Applicants may upload unofficial copies of all transcripts to the applicant status portal for the initial processing and review of your application. If the applicant is admitted, his/her offer is contingent upon the receipt and verification of all official printed transcripts.

Applicants who have earned a degree or completed coursework at Pace University will not be required to submit a transcript from Pace University and are required to indicate on the application that they have attended Pace. Transcripts from all other institutions attended are required and must be submitted to be considered for admission.
Doctoral program
The Doctoral program seeks applicants who have significant career achievement and potential and who have superior academic performance and promise. Prospective candidates for the doctorate programs are admitted under the same procedures and requirements outlined in the graduate programs. These programs have more application requirements. International Students
An international student is defined as any student studying at Pace University who is neither a U.S. citizen nor a U.S. permanent resident. International students must complete the same application for admission as domestic applications. There are, however, additional forms and information required from international students in order to be considered for study at Pace University.
English language Proficiency requirements
Students who will graduate or have graduated from a high school in a country where English is not the official language and for whom English is not their first language must present proof of English proficiency by submitting scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or Pearson PTE academic that are no more than two years old.
In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
