University of Jamestown is a private, Presbyterian Church (USA) university located in Jamestown, North Dakota. The university covers an area of 110 acres. It was in 1883 when the University of Jamestown was founded. Keeping the pursuit of research, innovation, and excellence at the center, University of Jamestown has been imparting quality education to its students. The motto of the varsity is Latin: Lux et Veritas and its official colors are orange and black. Out of total 1136 students enrolled at UJ, 908 belong to undergraduate courses while 207 are postgraduate students. The school has a total of 113 academic staff. These faculty teach different courses to the students. Interestingly, University of Jamestown has an ethnically diverse student population. At UJ around 72% are white, 10% belong to Hispanic ethnicity, and 7% are Black or African American. And, at the university, around 97% of the students are 24 and under. When it comes to gender distribution at the varsity, around 46% of the students are females and 54% are males. The college has produced several achievers in its 137 years of existence and some of the notable alumni are Dick Armey, Ron Erhardt, Kurt Schork, and J. J. Syvrud. The school believes in the all-round growth of the students and therefore, encourages students to take part in several sporting activities, conducted inside the campus. At UJ, 111 undergraduate and graduate-level programs, including both residential and online, are offered to the students. The university also has a long list of accreditations. It has been accredited by CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education), and HLC Higher Learning Commission. The total endowment of the University of Jamestown is around $36 million.
