The University of South Florida Sarasota–Manatee is a public institution located in Sarasota, Florida. It is part of the University of South Florida System. USF Sarasota-Manatee believes a personalized approach to learning makes all the difference. When you join their community, you’re more than just another student. USFSM was established in 1975 as a regional campus of the University of South Florida. After its creation, the University of South Florida Sarasota–Manatee shared the original campus of New College of Florida, which it adopted as it's honors college for more than two decades. It moved to its new campus in 2006.

USFSM has a student population of 2069 with a student-faculty ratio of 12:1. The student population is predominantly white American with 68%. 

USFSM offers more than forty bachelor's degree, master's degree and certificate programs in four colleges: Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Math, Business, Hospitality, and Tourism Leadership. Day, evening, weekend and online classes serve thousands of students annually. 

In addition to offline courses, USF Sarasota-Manatee provides a number of fully online programs to give individuals with busy lifestyles juggling hectic schedules the opportunity to pursue their career aspirations. These programs include undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, minors, and certificates.
