University of the West is a private university located in Rosemead, CA. University of the West occupies a total area of about 10 acres. University of the West was founded in the year 1990. Burgundy/gold are the official colors of the University of the West. In addition to over 153 undergraduate students, UW also boasts of over 131 students in its postgraduate courses, taking the total enrollment to over 324 (Fall 2018). University of the West is home to an ethnically diverse student body. At UW around 50% are Non-resident alien, 31% belong to Hispanic ethnicity, and 8% are white. Further, around 81% of the students are 24 and under. When it comes to gender distribution at the varsity, around 61% of the students are females and 39% are males. Several notable personalities have been produced by the school in its 30 years of existence. The college has produced several achievers over the years, who have done exceptional work in their fields. The school believes in the all-round growth of the students and therefore, encourages students to take part in several sporting activities, conducted inside the campus. UW offers a total of 52 undergraduate and graduate programs, including both residential and online. The university also has a long list of accreditations. It has been accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission, and WASC Senior College and University Commission.
