The AMA Underrepresented in Medicine Award provides financial assistance to African American, Latino / Hispanic, or Native Americans / Native Hawaiians / Alaska Natives scholars who are dedicated to serving vulnerable or underserved populations. Eligibility Criteria

Must be Hispanic, American Indian, African-American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or from another racial group historically underrepresented in the medical profession. This award is for U.S. students. Must be enrolled in medical school at the time of application.
