About the Scholarship

The AOPA Student Pilot Scholarship is open to U.S. students who are pursuing a private, recreational, or sport pilot certificate and already have a student pilot certificate. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be enrolled in high school, an accredited flight program, an accredited college or university, or otherwise pursuing an eligible certificate. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) if a current full-time high school or college student. Must be a member of Women in Aviation, International (WAI) by Nov. 1, and that membership must remain current through March. Please note: Both men and women are eligible to join WAI.
