Area Go Texan Scholarship

High school seniors who are in the top one-third of their graduating class, have an SAT/ACT score of 950/19 or higher and are residents of Texas planning to attend a Texas college or university are eligible for this award. Students must reside in a participating Area Go Texan county. This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be a resident of the state of Texas. Must be ranked in the top one-third of his/her graduating class. Must have an SAT score of 950 or higher OR an ACT score of 19 or higher. Must enroll in a Texas college or university. Must reside in or attend high school in one of the following participating Area Go Texan counties in Texas: Angelina, Anderson, Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Bell, Bosque, Brazos, Burleson, Calhoun, Cherokee, Colorado, DeWitt, Falls, Fayette, Freestone, Goliad, Gregg, Gonzales, Grimes, Hardin, Harrison, Henderson, Hill, Houston, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Karnes, Lavaca, Lee, Leon, Limestone, Live Oak, Madison, Matagorda, McLennan, Milam, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Panola, Polk, Refugio, Robertson, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Shelby, Trinity, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Washington, Wharton, or Williamson.
