About the Scholarship

The Carl A. Scott Memorial Fund was established by the Council on Social Work Education's (CSWE's) Board of Directors in recognition of Carl A. Scott’s contributions to CSWE and the social work profession. Scott was at the helm of CSWE’s early efforts to foster human diversity in social work education. Eligibility Criteria

Must be in the last year of study for a social work degree in a bachelor or master’s degree program accredited by CSWE. Must be an American citizen, noncitizen national, or have permanent residence status. Must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must be enrolled full time during the period in which the grant is awarded (fall 2019).
