Eligibility Criteria
Must be a high school graduate or older at time of application. Must attend a college or university in Kansas. Must be a resident of Kansas. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must enroll for six hours or more per semester. Preference will be given to full-time students. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Must pursue a career in nursing. The scholarship committee shall consider the following priorities in making scholarship recommendations to the board of trustees: registered nurse pursuing graduate education in Kansas or out of state; a written statement regarding intent to teach, full or part-time, in a nationally accredited nursing program in Kansas; a male professional registered nurse; a Ph.D. program in nursing or related field with intent to direct or manage a nursing program; a registered nurse pursuing graduate education in nursing, nurse anesthesia, nurse midwifery, or clinical nurse specialist preferred.
