This award is available for Texas resident undergraduate students who are attending a public Texas college or university. Applicants must be permanently disabled as a result of an injury suffered during the performance of a duty as a peace officer of Texas or a political subdivision of Texas. Must be a resident of Texas. This award is for U.S. students. Must attend a Texas public college or university. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have been permanently injured in the line of duty while serving as a peace officer.
