About the Scholarship

This award is available for Florida undergraduate students who are attending an eligible college or university in Florida. Students must be the dependent child or spouse or un-remarried widow(er) of a Florida veteran or service member who died as a result of service-connected injuries, diseases, or disabilities sustained while on active duty OR has been verified by the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs as having service-connected 100 percent total and permanent disabilities OR is classified as a POW or MIA. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must enroll in six or more credit hours (or 180 or more clock hours, or the equivalent) per term. Must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen. Must be a resident of Florida. Must be the eligible relative of a veteran who died as a result of service connected disability sustained while on active duty OR is certified by the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs as having service-connected 100 percent permanent and total disabilities OR is classified as a prisoner of war or missing in action by the Armed Forces of the United States. Must be a dependent child OR spouse OR widow/widower of an eligible military member. The spouse of a deceased veteran cannot have remarried.
