About the Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to a licensed radio amateur with a general class or higher license who is a resident of and attends an institution in the FCC 5th Call District. Students must major in electronics, communications, or related fields; preference will be given to students with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Application requirements for the Fred R. Eligibility Criteria
Must be a licensed radio amateur with a general class license or higher. Must major in electronics, communications, or related field. Must attend a college/university located in the FCC Fifth Call District area (TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, NM). Must be a resident of the FCC Fifth Call District area (TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, NM). Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher. This award is for international and U.S. students.
