About the Scholarship

This scholarship is available for Hawaii undergraduate and graduate students; preference is given to students who are majoring in fine arts or classics. Students must be graduates of one of the following East Hawai'i public schools: Hilo, Honoka'a, Kea'au, Laupahoehoe, Pahoa, or Waiakea. Application requirements for the Gerrit R. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a graduate of one of the following East Hawai'i public schools: Hilo, Honoka'a, Kea'au, Laupahoehoe, Pahoa, or Waiakea. Must be a resident of Hawaii. Must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university as a full-time student (12 credits per semester for undergraduate; 9 credit hours per semester for graduate). Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Must be a U.S. citizen. Preference is given to students who major in fine arts and classics.
