About the Scholarship

This vocal competition is open to U.S. college juniors and seniors who are enrolled and matriculating full time at a college or university in the continental United States. Entrants selected for the competition must perform two songs in the Negro spiritual genre; there are separate competitions for male and female vocalists. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must be an academically qualified collegian (junior or senior year). Must be currently enrolled and matriculating at an accredited institution of higher learning in the continental United States. Must be a full-time student. Must perform two songs in the Negro spiritual genre if selected for the competition.
