About the Scholarship

This award is for high school seniors with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher who demonstrate critical financial need. Each applicant who applies for a Horatio Alger scholarship program, whether it be a specific state program or the finalist program, will automatically be considered for the National Scholarship Program. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Must demonstrate a critical financial need. $55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is preferred; a written explanation must be provided if income is higher. Must be enrolled full time as a high school senior, progressing normally toward graduation, and planning to enter no later than the fall semester following graduation.
