About the Scholarship

This scholarship is open to Idaho undergraduate students who are the children or spouses of military members or public safety officers who were killed, imprisoned, missing in action, or permanently disabled. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be an Idaho resident. Must be the spouse or child of: a member of the Armed Forces who was killed in action, died of injuries or wounds sustained in action, determined to be missing in action or a prisoner or war, or is/was totally and permanently disabled due to injuries sustained in action; OR a full-time or part-time public safety officer (peace officer or firefighter, paramedic, or EMT) who was killed or totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty. If a spouse and the eligible family member is totally and permanently disabled, the student must be currently married to the eligible member. If a child, the student must have been already born, or was born after a military member or public safety officer is determined to be imprisoned or missing in action, or is killed or becomes totally and permanently disabled. Additional details on eligibility are available on the Idaho State Board of Education website. Must be a graduate from an Idaho high school or its equivalent (GED from Idaho), if an eligible child. Must enroll as an undergraduate student.
