About the Scholarship

Kansas residents who are high school seniors or older students planning to enroll in an undergraduate degree program at a Kansas college or university are eligible for this award. Students must plan to enter the teaching profession in a designated shortage area. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a Kansas resident. Must attend an eligible public or private college or university in Kansas. Must enroll in a course of instruction leading to licensure as a teacher or a master’s degree in a field of education and plan to serve in one of the hard-to-fill disciplines or one of the underserved geographic areas. Must enroll part time or greater with at least three credit hours per term/semester. Must be a U.S. citizen.
