About the Scholarship

This award is available for U.S. nursing students who are residents of Kansas and attend a Kansas college or university. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The following will receive priority consideration for this award: RNs pursuing BSNs; graduate and postgraduate nursing study; formal nursing programs - advanced registered nurse practitioner, etc.; and students enrolled in undergraduate nursing programs. Eligibility Criteria

Must attend a Kansas college or university. Must have resided in one of the following Kansas counties for one year or more: Johnson, Leavenworth, or Wyandotte. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Must be currently enrolled in a nursing program. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must enroll for six hours or more per semester. Preference will be given to full-time students. Must be a high school graduate or older at time of application. The following will receive priority consideration for this award: students enrolled in basic undergraduate nursing programs. Registered nurses completing their BSN will also be eligible if no basic undergraduate applicants qualify or apply.
