This award is available for U.S. registered nurses pursuing B.S.N.s; registered nurses in B.S.N. program in private school preferred; B.S.N. nursing school students with intent to practice medical, surgical or acute care nursing; associate in nursing program with intent for gerontological nursing; registered nurses seeking certification in medical-surgical nursing by ANCC; or registered nurses seeking national conference on nursing diagnosis and/or patient quality of care focus. Students must be residents of Kansas and attend a college or university in Kansas. Students must also have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship shall be given according to the following priorities: registered nurses in B.S.N. program in private school preferred; B.S.N. nursing school students with intent to practice medical, surgical or acute care nursing; associate in nursing program with intent for gerontological nursing; registered nurses seeking certification in medical-surgical nursing by ANCC; or registered nurses seeking national conference on nursing diagnosis and/or patient quality of care focus. Must attend a college or university in Kansas. Must be a high school graduate or older at time of application. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must enroll six hours or more per semester. Preference will be given to full-time students. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Must pursue a career in nursing.
