Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must be a resident of North Carolina for 12 or more months prior to application. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for work already completed in the program in which currently enrolled OR in the master's program if no coursework has been taken in the current program. Must be enrolled full time (nine or more hours per semester). Doctoral work will be determined by the institution's definition of "full time". Must be admitted to an eligible program in North Carolina. Online programs are also acceptable, as long as the student is a North Carolina resident. Must be pursuing a master's or doctoral degree.
