About the Scholarship

Michigan Retailers Foundation, established in 1968, provides college scholarships annually to benefit retailers and their employees and families. Twenty-five scholarships will be given out in 2022. These awards are for one year and are not based on financial need. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a part-time employee of an Michigan Retailers Association (MRA)-member business (who is also a full-time student) OR be the dependent of an owner or full-time employee of an MRA-member business. A student/employee must have been employed for at least six months as of Jan. 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded. A parent/employee must have been employed for at least one year as of Jan. 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded. Please note: The parent/guardian or student must still be an employee at the time the scholarship is awarded to remain eligible for an award. Must be a resident of Michigan. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must be a high school senior or college freshman, sophomore, or junior at time of application.
