About the Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors who are attending Washington High School in Cedar Rapids and are planning to enroll full time at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids are eligible for this award. Students must demonstrate financial need. Application requirements for the Mildred Joslin Scholarship for Kirkwood Community College are:Application form Admissions application Official Transcript Personal statement FAFSA before March 31 (for need-based aid)

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must attend one of the following high schools in the Cedar Rapids Community School District: Kennedy, Metro, Washington, or Jefferson. Each year, on a rotating basis, applicants from one of the high schools mentioned will be considered for this award. This year the award will be offered to a student of Kennedy High School. Must attend Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Must demonstrate serious financial need. Must plan to enroll full time. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
