This award is open to children who are legal military dependents and between the ages of 8 and 18 at time of nomination. The average nominee has volunteered with service groups for an average of 75 hours yearly and has maintained above-average grades. This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be a legal military dependent. Must have a military parent. Must be between the ages of 13 and 18 at the time of nomination. The average nominee volunteered with service groups for an average of 75 hours during the year.
