About the Scholarship

This award is available for Tennessee resident, minority undergraduate students who are pursuing teaching field at a public or private Tennessee college or university. Students must plan to teach at a Tennessee public kindergarten, elementary or secondary school upon graduation. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a resident of Tennessee. Must attend a public or private Tennessee college or university. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be a minority. Must plan to enter the teaching field in a Tennessee public kindergarten, elementary or secondary school. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher (if applying as a high school senior) or 2.5 or higher (if applying as a continuing college student). Must have scored a minimum composite score of 18 on the ACT (or its SAT equivalent) or graduate in the top 25 percent of his/her high school graduating class. Must enroll full time.
