About the Scholarship

This scholarship is open to U.S. students who plan to enroll at Missouri State University as incoming freshmen. Students must: rank in the top 50 percent of their class or have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; and have demonstrated leadership in multicultural school or community activities or organizations. Students with disabilities and/or historically underrepresented populations are encouraged to apply. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be lawfully present in the United States. Must be an incoming freshman. The student must graduate from a high school accredited by a state education agency or a regional accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE). Must plan to attend Missouri State University (Springfield campus). Must enroll as a full-time student in the year he/she graduates from high school. Must rank in the top 50 percent of his/her class OR have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale after the sixth semester (end of junior year). Must have demonstrated leadership in multicultural school or community activities or organizations such as: band/orchestra; choir/vocal ensembles; community service; drama/debate; multicultural organizations; newspaper/yearbook; student government; varsity athletics.
