About the Scholarship

The Penguin Random House Creative Writing Awards is available to U.S. high school seniors, nationwide. Applications open in November. Since 1993, this program has awarded more than $2.7 million to public high school students for original poetry, memoir/personal essay, fiction/drama, and spoken-word compositions. Eligibility Criteria

Must be current high school seniors at a public high school in one of the United States of America, including the District of Columbia and U.S. territories. Must be age 21 years and under, graduating in spring 2020.
