Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident. Must be a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate student. Must be a South Carolina resident at the time of high school graduation and at the time of college enrollment. Must have a cumulative grade point ratio of 3.0 or higher based on the Uniform Grading Scale at time of high school graduation. Must meet one of the following criteria: a score of 1100 or higher on the SAT (critical reading and math sections only) or the equivalent score of 24 or higher on the ACT OR rank in the top 30 percent of his/her graduating class. SAT/ACT scores will be accepted through the June national test administration of the high school graduation year. SAT scores may be combined from different test sittings; the ACT composite score must be from one test sitting. Students cannot use the SAT Writing subsection score to meet the minimum score requirement. Must attend an eligible four-year South Carolina institution.
