About the Scholarship

This scholarship is available for high school seniors who are residents of and attend high school in Maine, and plan to attend the University of Maine at Orono. Students must be in the top 10 percent of their class and have an SAT score of 1450 or higher or an ACT score of 32 or higher to be considered for the award, but selection is extremely competitive and recipients tend to be in the top 2% of their high school class. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a high school senior at time of application. Must be a resident of Maine. Must graduate from a Maine high school. Must graduate in the top 10 percent of his/her class. Must have an SAT score of 1450 or higher (combined math and critical reading scores) or an ACT score of 32 or higher. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must plan to attend the University of Maine. Must plan to enroll as a full-time student in a minimum of 12 credits per semester in an approved undergraduate program.
