Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must be a young adult cancer survivor diagnosed between the ages of 15 to 35 OR young adult who has lost a parent/guardian to cancer OR has a parent/guardian with cancer. The parent/guardian must have been diagnosed with cancer when the young adult applicant was between the ages of 15-35 - may include initial or secondary diagnosis, relapse or active treatment. Must be 35 years or younger at the time of application. Must attend either a four-year college/university or graduate school in the fall. Students must be enrolled in bachelor's degree program or higher. Must be a United States resident planning to attend a U.S. educational institution. Must be actively involved in community service. Must be a permanent resident of Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C.
