Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must have an overall grade point average of 2.75 or higher, with an average of 3.5 or higher in major-related courses (the major-related grade point average does not apply for high school seniors). Must be a resident of Texas. Must be enrolled in a restaurant/food service program and/or hospitality program. Must enroll in a minimum of twelve hours per semester, with at least three of those hours devoted to foodservice or hospitality management. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must have a minimum of one year's work experience in the foodservice industry. Must be a graduating high school senior OR a currently enrolled undergraduate college student at time of application.
