About the Scholarship

This scholarship is open to traditional and non-traditional undergraduate students who live in housing owned or managed by the Housing Authority of the City of Winston-Salem. Students must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher (college students who have been out of school for two or more years with lower grades may be considered on a case-by-case basis). Eligibility Criteria

This award is for international and U.S. students. Must pursue or plan to pursue an undergraduate degree. Traditional and non-traditional students are eligible to apply. Must be listed on the lease of a property owned or managed by the Housing Authority of the City of Winston-Salem (HAWS). Must have a cumulative unweighted grade point average of 2.0 or higher at the time of initial application. Please note: College students with a history of poor college grades, but who have not been in college in the last two years, will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Must demonstrate evidence of community involvement or school activities including any awards or leadership roles. Must be enrolled full time (12 or more hours per semester) if a traditional-age student.
