About the Scholarship

The Women’s Independence Scholarship Fund is available for women who have left an abusive domestic situation. They are also pursuing an education that aims to help them to provide economic self-sufficiency for themselves and their children. The Scholarship Program was established in 1999. Eligibility Criteria

Must be a citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States, or have an immigration status that makes her eligible for FAFSA. Must demonstrate a critical need for financial assistance.
